SELC Courses - English for Customer Service Communication

The English for Customer Service Communication (ECSC) course is designed for students wanting to acquire a working knowledge of the functional English required for employment in a bar or restaurant. Students completing the 8-week ECSC program receive a total of 4 certificates: The Advanced Coffee-making (Barista) Certificate issued by the leading coffee maker in Italy, Lavazza The RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) Certificate, Hostec The Certificate for Bar & Cocktail Training SELC's Certificate for ECSC

Elementary to Pre-Intermediate

Your study

Course length: 4 - 8 weeks 23 hours of classroom lessons with 3 hours of supervised self-study after class per week.

All SELC classes run on the same timetable and have 23 hours of classroom lessons per week   Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday 8:45-10:30 Lesson 1 Introduction to Customer Care Course Vocabulary input Listening Dealing with requests Restaurant staff requests Complaints Making complaints/ Dealing with complaints 11:00-12:30 Lesson 2 Introduction to the concept of Responsible Service of Alcohol(RSA) Basic telephone language for customer service Reading Listening/ Speaking Role-play activity 13:30-15:00 Lesson 3 Speaking Practice Making cocktails Internet Research Weekly Vocab& Functional Grammar Review Conversation 15:15-16:30 Supervised Self Study Sport(optional) * Friday afternoon (Lesson 3) week 1-3: 13:30 - 14:45 * No lesson Friday afternoon week 4 (Lesson 2: 11:00 - 12:15) Face to Face Teaching: 92.5 hours/ 4 weeks Weeks 1-3: 23.5 hours Week 4: 22 hours (no lesson Friday afternoon)
